On the eve of the biggest storm in the Sierras in quite a few years, Matt headed over the pass to photograph James and Amie’s little elopement at the Mariposa Courthouse. Amie threw her dress on in the parking lot and a small gathering of friends and family stood in the rain while they got married…pretty rad. The snow held off just enough for them to hit Yosemite Valley and run around for a couple hours in the rain and slush. This was one for the record book, the most difficult and consequently one of the most fun wedding day portrait sessions. It was raining so hard the whole time Matt had to put away the Nikon 750 and just photograph with the Nikon D4s because he was afraid the D750 couldn’t handle the weather! “I basically dunked the cameras in a bucket of water every time we hit a new location.” The next morning they evacuated Yosemite Valley due to flooding!
